Add what you're working on in Tasks, then press Start (or the Space key). Focus for 25 minutes, take the short break, repeat. After four rounds you get a long break. Drag the dial to change the minutes.
Browsers only allow sound after your first tap, so press Start once. On an iPhone, flip the Ring/Silent switch to Ring. Check the chime volume in Settings → Sound.
It keeps time and catches up when you come back, and a finished session is still logged. Phones pause web pages in the background, so the chime or notification can be late. For exact alerts, keep HSFocus on screen (Settings → Keep the screen on).
iPhone: open it in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Android: open it in Chrome, tap ⋮ → Add to Home screen or Install app. On a computer, use the install icon in the address bar or Help → Install the app.
Yes: Settings → Your data → Export my data, then Restore a backup on the other device. Your own photos and music are not included.
Only if you lock it first. Settings → Your data → Lock backups with a passphrase scrambles the file, so whoever holds it cannot read it. Without that it is plain readable text. If you forget the passphrase the file can never be opened again — there is no reset, because we hold nothing about you.
No. It is a focus and study timer. It suggests breaks and an optional breathing exercise, and nothing in it is medical advice. Stop any breathing exercise that makes you dizzy.
